Job Responsibilities
As a Cashier (Retail), you will help make every day easy, enjoyable, and rewarding for our shoppers by performing tasks such as ringing up purchases, accepting returns, and keeping cash drawers full and balanced.
Key responsibilities include:
Processing customer purchases correctly and quickly. Accepting payments through cash, credit cards, debit cards, etc. Issuing receipts, refunds, exchanges, credits as needed
- Maintaining a balanced cash register during your shift
- Greeting customers and providing friendly, professional service
- Assisting customers with product inquiries and pointing them to the right department
Ensuring your checkout area stays clean, organized, and looking fresh.
Resolving customer issues professionally, and knowing how (and when) to escalate things if needed.
Following company policy/procedure for working with and protecting company money/credit card info.
Supporting stores during high demand times (e.g., Black Friday).
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who are interested in applying should have the following requirements:
- Previous experience as a cashier, sales associate, or retail staff is preferred.
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Strong customer service orientation.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays where necessary.
Able to work well as part of a team.
